Being A Woman Who Supports Other Women: Steps To Empowerment
Strong, Fearless, Beautiful!
Here at Elissa & Stef we believe that being a woman who empowers other women should be at the top of our to-do-list. Feeling confident and indestructible starts with self-love and acceptance and can then spread into supporting the other amazing women around us.
This week on the E&S blog we are going to give you some top tips for being a female driving force and learning to #BeFearless in your everyday life, because after all, Confidence Brings Beauty!
Tip 1 - Find Your Muse
Whether it's your mum, your fave Instagram influencer/blogger or a female political leader, finding someone who inspires you to do better and aim high can help inspire your aspirational side. If you admire their job, their outlook on life or even their personal style, find ways to embrace the aspects of your Fearless Female Muse that you can incorporate into your own life.
Tip 2 - Invest in Females
Female-owned businesses exist in almost every industry now, but men are still twice as likely to become entrepreneurs than women. This makes it all the more important to invest in those businesses that are run by boss babes. Nubian Skin, Fenty Beauty and Kai Collective are all run by women and ace it every time. So whether it's an international corporation or a local boutique, support those corporations that are run by women to empower both them and yourself.
Tip 3 - Words of Affirmation
We all feel that little buzz when someone comments on your selfie or says "that top really suits you". So if we all know and love those words of affirmation, we should spread them every single day. If you're shopping and you love that girls jeans - then say it! Compliment a stranger or encourage your friends to do better by saying "you can do it" or "I believe in you". This is a great tip for feeling good about yourself but also empowering the women who really needed to hear those words of encouragement.
Tip 4 - Spread Awareness
None of these tips can become progressive unless we all spread awareness. Education and information are essential when empowering yourself and others. Researching your female muse and taking part in #InternationalWomensDay and other similar causes are just a few of the many ways you can spread awareness. Share the Instagram or Facebook page of one of your fave female-run businesses or share articles and foundations with your gal-pals in the group chat. The main aim is to educate yourself, spread awareness, and share with others.
Empowering women should start locally and spread internationally. The tips above are only a few of many and we should all try each and every day to #BeFearless and support our favourite females.
